I clicked through to Andrew's profile on the "leading lights" site. His mini-interview there is well worth reading. Like the courage you're demonstrating to put the words "love" "work" and "self" together in a single sentence, Andrew's suggestion that we have a "pastoral" role in each other's lives is really inspiring. This is for sure a sea change that can no longer be ignored. Humans aren't going to keep going to work at places where they are not received in their humanness.
I appreciate you Rick! I wrote this article with you in mind but as it's been a very full week, with recovering from food poisoning at the beginning of this week, I didn't have enough time to mention this - and your writing - in this edition.
My sense is like yours - there's a sea change in the workplace - and outside, too - for humanness to embue what we do. Otherwise we're in danger of being robotic, and missing out of the love we can bring to enrich each others' lives.
I'm honored you'd think of me in connection to this topic. I need to surround myself with voices and good company like yours, otherwise I start feeling overwhelmed by the literal investment that is being made in robotic business. Sorry to hear about the bad food. Gheesh!
With the engagement you create through the insightful comments and thoughts you leave on the interweb so that those who are creatives deepen their creativity, you've already gained good company.
