I need to get better at this myself. I'm sure you've read it before, but Derek Siver's "Hell Yeah or No" approach is what comes to mind here - https://sive.rs/hellyeah

Sometimes a full "no" (because it's not a "hell yeah") leaves me with a sense of abandoment.

That's one of the reasons I like putting the "hell maybes" on a "Not Right Now List".

They're out of sight - and so don't cause any unnecessary cognitive load - but I can always go back to take a look if any of them become "Hell Yeah"s.

I know it's not a new idea, but didn't know Derek Siver's appraoch.

There's a something that I'm working on with Charlotte Crowther that might be really useful for helping you get better at this! I know I need it!

Here's the post about it on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/erichhho_collaborationinprogress-creativeentrepreneurs-activity-7151586982802989057-Wf0T?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

What an awesome title for a book. "No Is Effortless" - It's at the very least a great title for a stick note to put up over my desk!!

Hahaha. Does that mean you have the rights, or do I, for that title? 😆

Maybe it could be the title for your next book? I'm sure you've got a wealth of stories about what comes with a "No".
