The Brake You Didn’t Know You Needed
E94: Slowing down to ask yourself the one question that keeps life effortless
Ever feel like life’s flywheel is spinning so fast that you barely have time to read this email? Or even ask yourself a simple question to bring awareness to the things that power your productivity and make life feel a little more effortless?
When you've gained too much downhill momentum and you're going faster than you can pedal, it’s hard to stop and check in with yourself.
So this week, let’s get straight to the point.
"What do YOU need right now?"
Questions like this act—if you let them—as a little brake, taking the edge off the hair-raising speed.
You're whizzing down a winding mountain road. You’re flying through the twists and turns. Your grip tightens, eyes locked on the road ahead, heart racing.
But then.
Just for a second.
You ease off and the wind slows you down.
Suddenly, the curves aren’t as sharp, and you regain control.
That pause?
That’s the power of asking what you need.
ps If you do slow the flywheel and have some time, these editions might be worth revisiting—especially if you think "a glass of wine" counts as a true need (spoiler: it doesn’t).
👉 Over to you!
What do you need?
